The concept of using zippers to join two smaller mattresses into a larger bed originated in the mid 20th century; it is brilliant for helping get large mattresses into small areas and in allowing two partners to have different firmness ratings on each side of their mattress,...marvellous!
Whilst the idea is brilliant, the implementation is unfortunate when using a zipper link system. Mattresses are impossibly hard to zip together, and the zipper edges around the multiple borders of the mattress are uncomfortable, as is the zipper between you and your partner. Zippers are also unreliable and susceptible to damage over time.
Our Velcro Link mattresses are made with care and reinforced on the edges and bluffs. The male section of the Velcro hasps remain fully engaged throughout every day of the mattresses use, so it collects very minimal reservoirs of lint and therefore remains very sticky and engagingly strong.
Velcro Link is available on all our pocket-sprung mattresses sized King, Small Super King and Super King. Velcro Link offers a seamless sleep solution which:
