Cylindrical, Geometric, Average and Standard Retro legs are the normal height legs that you would expect on a normal bed

Single beds can accommodate 1 drawer, small doubles and larger can take 1 drawer on each side. Your drawers will be either 18cm or 26cm high, depending on your chosen legs and finished in your leg colour.

7 SIZE: double

We design our beds slightly smaller than the mattress, so that the mattress overhangs the sides & end by up to approximately 3/4 inch (1.9cm). With the legs tucked underneath the frame so that there are no protruding corners, you save that extra little bit of space & keep them out of the way of your knees & toes!

  • This bed has 9 solid Golden Pine slats; 21mm thick and 145mm wide. With less than a 7cm gap between each slat, your mattress will be firmly supported, permanently!

The quality of the bed and headboard is excellent but I have waited to write this review until we had tried the mattress. What can I say! We have had the best night's sleep in years. I have ordered items over the years from Warren Evans. This is because the quality of the products are excellent, they look amazing and they last a lifetime. My most recent purchase was an ottoman bed for my brother. The style and craft that has gone into the bed is beautiful. It looks so majestic and the quality is simply something to behold. In these rather anxious times, communication around the delivery to my brother was handled with due care, respect and courtesy. I’m extremely grateful to the technicians and Warren Evans for the professional way that they handled the COVID requests and guidance prior to delivery and set up. So a big thank you to Kat for her wonderful assistance. If you desire quality, well made products that also look beautiful and a professional service, then please do have a look at Warren Evans.     I was 17 in 1978 when I started hand making beds here in London, building beds that last and using sustainable natural materials has always been my core requirement. We became the first FSC certified timber bed makers in the UK, and in caring for the woods that we use, we influenced the bedding industry to reduce the use of rain-forest and other ancient forest woods!

    Sadly most of the UK's beds and mattresses are really skimpily made of poor quality, unethically sourced materials. I focus on craftsmanship and environmentally sound practices to make beautiful products that last; I like delivering good quality, service and value. 

    Since 1978 I've been handmaking lasting quality beds here in London.
